In recent years, there has been a growing diffusion of multi-camera systems for monitoring and surveillance purposes. By analyzing information from more cameras it is possible to monitor activities in large, complex areas such as buildings, airports, road and rail networks, sport grounds.

Multi camera systems can provide more confident deductions about the events of interest and reduce ambiguities in a single view caused by occlusion or other factors.

This workshop serves as a forum for researchers in computer vision interested in this field to discuss current challenges and to present latest research results of multiview image processing. Research areas involved on this subject address large areas such as visual cues integration from multi-camera observations, AI based scene analysis and learning, spatial temporal object interactions for event recognition, behaviour analysis, multi-camera calibration and scene reconstruction.

The topics of interests include (but are not limited to):

  • Single and multiple objects tracking
  • Human behaviour analysis
  • Individual activity detection and recognition
  • Multi agent activity detection and recognition
  • Scene understanding
  • Event detection

We invite original research papers describing significant results by using multi-camera viewing for monitoring and surveillance purposes. We also encourage all authors to submit videos or demos along with their papers, in which they visually show applications of their research.
