Annalisa Milella received the Laurea (summa cum laude) and the Research Doctorate degrees from the Politecnico of Bari, Italy, in 2002 and 2006, respectively, both in Mechanical Engineering. In 2005, she has been a visiting PhD student at the EPFL Autonomous Systems Laboratory. From 2006 to 2009, she has worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Intelligent Systems for Automation (ISSIA), National Research Council (CNR), Bari, Italy. Since December 2009, she has been a Researcher at ISSIA. Since 2010, she has started a scientific collaboration with the Australian Centre for Field Robotics, University of Sydney. In 2012, she has been scientific responsible for ISSIA of the research contract with the University of Salento for the project ICT-AGRI ERA-NET Ambient Awareness for Autonomous Agricultural Vehicles (QUAD-AV).
She has authored and co-authored more than 60 scientific publications and one patent. She has been a reviewer for international journals and conferences. She has taught academic courses and seminars in the field of applied mechanics, maintenance of mechanical systems, computer vision, and robot mechanics.
