Space Advance Project Excellence in Research and Enterprise
The activities of ISSIA are the followings:
-Preliminary analysis of the state of the art of EO-based services, available at National and European level, for emergency and risk management, with an outlook towards future European programs for R&D funding on these topics.
-Analysis of the impact of new satellite and constellation technologies (defined in terms of sensors, resolutions and revisit times), to fill or reduce the existing gaps in natural hazard emergency and risk management.
-Studies of mission requirements to improve risk management services, with reference to a compact, lightweight (less than 700 kg) X-band SAR constellation, to be considered in connection with COSMO-SkyMed first- and second-generation.
